ABOUT ME

Welcome

With 16 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the Washington- Baltimore region, I’m passionate about transforming lives through compassionate, evidence-based, accessible mental health care that is focused on YOU.   Regardless of one’s stage of life or how the past has shaped us, I truly believe it’s never too late to late to build a life worth living.  Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege to work with an incredibly diverse population.  Some of the communities I enjoy working with the most include adults16+, first responders, veterans, working professionals, single and divorced parents, and underserved communities.  If you’d like to learn more about my treatment focus or approach to care, click here.

Professional Background

I love working in the mental health field and have enjoyed learning in a range of different settings. These include Johns Hopkins Medicine (Suburban Hospital), Vesta Inc., Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress (CSTS) of the Department of Defense, and Medstar Health.  While most recently serving as the Behavioral Health Program Clinical Coordinator at the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) for several years, I furthered my passion for working with first responders, public safety personnel, and those impacted by traumatic stress. Today, I enjoy working as a therapist in independent practice.  For additional background, please see my curriculum vitae.

A Little About Me

Born in rural Indiana, I grew up in Southern New Jersey/ Philadelphia region and have resided in the Washington, D.C. metro area since attending college. I consider myself both a morning person and a night owl, as I love to make the most of the day. When I’m not working, I enjoy staying active as a parent and a dog mom, while also prioritizing time for me.  I love walking, exploring, laughing, learning, creating art, or getting lost in a show. I’m big on holidays, family, traveling, collecting experiences over stuff, and spending time with the people I care about.
